Emergency Medical Services- 2010

The Portneuf Health Care Foundation granted $10,000 to purchase 100 Emergency Medical Services backboards for providers in Eastern Idaho. These backboards will go directly into the hands of EMS crews and emergency departments from Challis to Preston, and Afton Wyoming to Burley. In Idaho, over 90 percent of the EMS crews are voluntary. Having these backboards available at the beginning point of patient care will help thousands of patients across the region each year.
