All-Terrain (ATV) Ambulance-September 2011 

This ATV ambulance will function as an Emergency Medical Service support vehicle for the
Pocatello Fire Department.

The ATV ambulance allows EMS crews to cover and serve rural and wilderness terrain of Bannock County and work in partnership with other agencies to help regional search and rescue efforts.  It also permits EMS crews to serve and be on location for large community events where regular ambulance access is limited, such as the Portneuf Greenway and the southeastern Idaho mountains and foothills.  The Ambulance was made possible by a $27,000 grant from the Foundation, allowing the fire department to purchase the specialized 6 wheel ATV and outfit it with a special medical package.
